I went to Key West this weekend to celebrate my birthday and I’m so excited to share my experience with you all!
We stayed at The Perry Hotel which is nestled on Stock Island as you’re entering Key West. The 40 acre resort is located directly on a marina which makes for breathtaking views. They have amazing options for restaurants, bars, and even water activities. One of the first things I want to touch base on due to the ongoing pandemic, is their “Peace of Mind Promise”. The Perry is doing everything they possibly can to ensure guests are able to enjoy their stay at the resort while keeping safety a priority.
MASK UP! You must wear a mask covering both your nose and mouth around the resort. The exception to this rule is if you are eating/ drinking something or lounging by the pool. Additionally, the resort is doing a great job at providing extra cleaning and sanitization measures daily.
Throughout our stay, we felt completely safe and really appreciated the efforts the hotel staff and management have implemented. All guests were practicing social distancing and it made our stay extremely pleasant.
Food and Beverage:
Matt’s Stock Island and Salty Oyster are the two options located around the pool area. During this visit, we checked out Salty Oyster for lunch and drinks. We tried both the Fried Chicken and Pickle Back Wings which were both delicious and great options to snack on while lounging by the pool. We tried some of their refreshing cocktails like the Coconut and Pineapple mojitos and their gorgeous Blue Long Island. They offer a full bar so you can get anything you wish!
Amenities:
The Perry offers two waterfront pools. One is located in the center of the hotel and is considered the main pool which the other quaint pool is located further down the resort.
There is an on-site concierge available to assist you with renting scooters, water activities, and even touring the distillery. So if you’re looking for something fun to do, check those options out!
Overall we had a great stay and we can’t thank the Perry enough for truly ensuring I had a memorable but safe birthday celebration. How cute is this special cake they made for me? They would be happy to help you celebrate your next birthday/event too!
